Milestones: You are both jabbering in your own language quite a bit and have started speaking actual English words in order to communicate. Grady, you can say the following words: mama, daddy, ball, more (usually while signing it, sounds like maw), uh-oh, and this (sounds like dis). Wren, you can say the following words: mama, daddy, phone, hi, ball (sounds like baw), more (usually while signing it, sounds like maw), socks, shoes, eww (sounds like eee), cheese (sounds like cheee), dog (sounds like da), plane (sounds like pane), and uh-oh. It is very apparent that you both comprehend many more words than you can actually verbalize.  You also sign the phrase "all done," which we also refer to as "all gone."

Grady, you just finished cutting 1 of your lower canines and the other lower canine has almost erupted. That brings your total tooth count to 15 (7 bottom teeth and 8 top teeth). Wren, you have a total of 11 teeth (6 bottom teeth and 5 top teeth).

My Thoughts: I began this 18 month post around November 6, 2013, when you were actually 18 months old, but it sat as an unpublished draft for over 3 months just waiting for me to compose the "My Thoughts" portion and upload pictures. I honestly can't remember what I ate yesterday, so it's not looking like I'm going to be able to recall the particular thoughts I was having 3 months ago. I used to have it all together (not really, but more so than I do now), I used to blog often (relatively), and I used to remember things...then I became your mommy. ;) Just know that I love you and I plan to have "thoughts" on your 24 month update, which will hopefully be more timely than this one. We shall see!

Routine:
These days our routine looks roughly like this (with the exception of your days at MDO):
8:00am-8:30am Wake up
8:45am Eat Breakfast
11:00am-12:30pm Nap (sometimes longer)
12:45pm Eat Lunch
5:00pm Eat Dinner
7:30pm Bedtime

Favorites: Wren, your favorites are your paci (still), dancing to the songs on Bubble Guppies or to music in general, shoes, singing and doing the motions to the "Itsy Bitsy Spider," opening and digging through the trash and other drawers that are off limits, walking/running around outside, sliding on big and little slides alike, sitting at our little picnic table, and pumpkins (particularly the little gourds from Grammy). Grady, your favorite thing to do lately is assemble and re-assemble stacker toys (specifically the Melissa & Doug wooden stacker toy, the Sprig stacker toy, and the Ikea stack & nest toy), you also love shoes, singing and doing the motions to the "Itsy Bitsy Spider," opening and digging through the trash and other drawers that are off limits, walking/running around outside, and sitting at/on top of our little picnic table.

Dislikes:  You both dislike getting drops put in your eyes (to treat a recent shared eye infection), sharing momma/daddy's lap or arms, when momma tries to have any kind of phone conversation (thus not giving 100% of my attention to you), and being put down after being held. Wren, you HATE having to lay on your back for diaper changes. Your dad and I really dislike seeing you sick, which has been happening too frequently. Since the beginning of the fall you've both had ear infections, strep, and croup. :(

Food: You eat peanut butter sandwiches, regular sandwiches, mum mums, puffs, waffles, pumpkin pancakes, bananas, avocados, yogurt, applesauce, hummus, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, quesadillas, barbecue, pizza, sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, fajita meat, black beans, red beans, tortillas, pineapple, grapefruit, green beans, potato salad, mac & cheese, pasta dishes, and bread of any kind. (I'm sure I'm leaving off some foods that you eat on a regular basis, but the previous list is a pretty good picture of what you currently like.) You still also eat pureed fruit and veggie pouches to supplement your "big people" food. You primarily drink whole milk but also drink water.
